Just got my hands on a black 93 SE but....

The horn, gauge cluster lights (they were on for a lil while but went off by the time i got home), and auto locks dont work, guessin its a relay or a fuse... cuz i hear a clicking sound under the dash when i hit the lock switch. Where is that relay located(my chiltons goes up to 92) , and can i replace it with the one from my deceased gxe? Also, car was driving terribly sluggish on the way home, i did a lil test and found that two of the cylinders arent firing, should i start with plugs or just got ahead and change those coil packs?
Tryin to get the SE road worthy ASAP any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you have a lot to do. Two cylinders not firing, that can't be good, hopefully its bad coils. The door locks don't work because your door lock timer is messed up. You can either buy a new one for like $75.00 from www.courtesyparts.com or send the one you have now to Matt93se and he can fix it. You can't use the one in your old car since the system is completely different. Good luck sounds like you have a lot of work to get that to be a worthy VE!!!!!

the door locks aren't neccessarily the door lock timer. mine isn't.
it just sometimes gets goofy and doesn't work, but I can still hear the relay.

and I'd be willing to wager that it's the injectors not the coils.
the coil part is easy to check though, just swap the coils around and see if the misfire follows the coils or stays the same.
Also Pull the plugs and check them, they do go bad and on occasion will cause a misfire.

ok, that helps some, i'll swap the coils to check them, hopefully its not an injector, it was sitting for like 2 months , the previous owner said the car was accelerating extremely well when he parked it, so maybe the injectors need to be tapped on a lil bit, had that prob with the gxe. But what about the gauge cluster and horn?

Check for a blown fuse on the horn... and check to make sure the horn is even connected... as for the gauges it could be a number of things. We have a 1994 sentra that the lights on the gauges stopped working and it turned out that the dimmer switch for the dash lights was dead... We have a 1991 Alfa Romeo 164L and the gauges and the dash did not function due to a blown 7A fuse buried way back in the dash... so basically you need to get aquainted with your volt meter and start testing... and look carefully at every fuse you come across

Anybody know if there is a write-up on how to fix the door lock timer issue. My power door locks don't work, but I hear two clicks under the dash every time I push the switch either way.

Look in the stickies. I fixed mine on a 92 SE. It's easy if you know how to solder at all. Also you can look at back pages here and look for a door lock thread.
