I read daniel B martin's observation/comparison on these pieces.

http://microwave.ph.msstate.edu/pipe...ne/010283.html

However, there is no mention of electrical diagrams. This is what I need becuaes I plan to be doing automation to the car (remote start, windows, sunroof, etc). On amazon.com, one reviewer posted "This manual far exceeds any chiltons manual I have ever purchased. The electrical diagrams were all there (broke down by year) with no questions left unanswered. The book entailed many helpful photographs not just sketched pictures. I did think they could have provided more color photos though. Overall I would reccomend this manual to any nissan maxima owner."

I guess I will try to find one in the local automotive stores.

The Chilton repair manual devotes only 10 pages to wiring diagrams. Haynes gives 45 pages. However, these aftermarket books cover a range of model years embracing 3Gen and 4Gen Maximas. Niether book claims to provide all of the wiring information. If you need detailed information the factory service manual for your model year is the best reference.

I am puzzled by the reference to "more color photos". None of the three books (Chilton, Haynes, factory service manual) has any color photographs. The FSM has no photos of any kind, and that is a shortcoming compared to the inexpensive aftermarket books.
