I test drove a 98 GLE maxima today, and am thinking about buying it. However when I drove it the gas pedal and the break pedal seemed very stiff to me, very very stiff, (like after moving it about an inch it got extremely hard to press harder on it)is this normal for a maxima? also is suspsension really tight as hell? because i felt almost every bump on the road...

also the car didnt have a sunroof, or side air bags, or bottom fogs, but the owner didnt know if it had heated seats, how would i know if it had heated seats? thanks everyone.

 

Im not too sure about the pedals Ive driven lots of cars and mine feel just like every other one, the way you describe it, it doesnt sound too normal. As for the suspension, if its got the factory suspension on it, it should be very smooth and a very comfrotable ride. If it has heated seats its going to have two switches just below the center console easy to see. So im not too sure about that car, as I have 95 SE, so I believe the suspension is a little more sporty but Ive heard theres not too much of a diff. Good lulck though! and have it inspected.
