big power steering leak
big power steering leak
so I left a restaurant the other night and my car was driving like it had no power steering. I didnt replace the belt when I did the other 120K stuff, so I thought maybe it finally broke. I got home and found the fluid tank was empty.
When I went to the auto store the next day and bought some new fluid and put it in, the whoel thing drained again as soon as I started the car..left a big puddle in the parking lot..it all drained out from the passenger side around where the pump and everything is. Does it sound like my pump? or just a broken hose?
I'm at school right now so dont have the time/place/tools to really do anything myself. Should I take it to the dealer and get this fixed asap? Should I just cut the old belt to the power steering pump so I dont run it dry and take a look at the problem when I get a chance?
