E36 Projectors w/Angel Eyes:

Ran into a guy locally that hated these on his BMW. Tried them out, I like them, adds a touch of character to the front. Of course, I've had the BMW mod for years now, the install of these took a couple of hours. Even someone not have the BMW install done or wiring could do this in 3hrs with these. The housing is plastic, so I just had to take a small wood working saw and cut out the pieces I didn't need or where in my way. A couple of small peices of sheet metal to secure, a few left over nuts/bolts pulled from parted out Maximas, I'm done. I am considering painting them body color though. See my cardomain page.

Oh Yeah... Character!! Hows the projector beam pattern, and what size bulbs are in those?

I've honestly not pulled the bulbs out to look at what size they are. I'll do that when I'm ready to upgrade. The two pins come straight off the back. The beam pattern is okay, however I've not got them adjusted right yet and wonder to what extent they will adjust provided they use a spring tension/butterfly nut design to move the beam. With the driving lights I've got, I could drive off those alone. But, with driving lights off, the dispersion looks alright but appears more diffused than my old standard BMW lights. Are those you have standard? They don't look like projectors or like they have the halos.
BTW, I guess my old lights are for sale, modified brackets and all!

You can get BMW headlights from many sources as indicated. I originally bought these from my local BMW dealer and paid $250 for the set, which I thought was an excellent price. Of course as the years go by and more people seek them, you can find cheaper options.
nubiannupe: not talked with you in a while! How's everything going?
As far as the grill on the hood. When doing the BMW install a few years ago, I kept taking the grille in and out and ended up breaking a couple of the clips. Instead of buying a new one, I had a little fun and broke the other clips off, and fabricated some metal supports for the grille on each side, and attached it to the hood. For more details, just email me directly. You know, I've still not pulled the bulbs yet, I need to do that!
*BTW: I am selling my old BMW lights, but I did not post that here, just in the FS section. I've decided to keep these projectors. I am selling the BMW lights with the modified maxima bracket. They come with upgraded bulbs 80w/100w if you want or I can put standard back in.

do the dealers sell angel eye projectors? If they do then go right ahead and buy them from there. You'll save on shipping.
