how hard would it be...

to swap a VQ30 from a 4th gen maxima into an 88 max? i can get one for like $600 complete with an auto tranny and all the external stuff like the starter, alternator, water pump...

now that someone has managed to pull off a 3.5 in a 4th gen i'm thinking this would be a fun little project for me once i get my 4th gen up and running again and dont have to rely on the 2nd gen to get me around

what do you guys think?

A VE will fit, the VQ probably fit. But you'd have quite a bit of work to get everything happy (wiring harness, ECU, etc).

yeah the wireing harness would probably be the hardest thing if i went through with this

but once again we saw this was possible going swapping the entire thing from a 5th gen to a 4th gen... too bad i dont have an entire 4th gen to strip one from
