B&M STS weird?

Yesterday my friend and I installed a B&M STS on his 5th gen (2k), everything went perfect all the parts fit and looked awesome, but after the install and a test drive we weren't too thrilled with it! the throws are DEFINATELY shorter i mean they are SHORT! anyways, when you go through gears, it gets a bit annoying because you kinda have to jam it in the gear, all of the gears. Could we have done something wrong or is it always like that, should you give it some time to "adjust"? I really want to get one for mine but now I dont know if i should go with B&M?

Anyone experienced such issues?

Yeah. Mine has loosened up alot. It's still pretty stiff, but not bad.

I got mine used for like $100, but if I hadn't I would have gone for the courtesy STS. The new one is essentially a B&M, but a bit cheaper. There is a GD going on for the B&M going on now though.
