Shuddering at High Speeds

Hi folks!

I've got a 98 GXE and when I accelerate to over 45MPH I feel a vibration that gets worse the faster I go. The steering wheel vibrates and the seats vibrate. What can the problem be?

you tires are prolly ****
this happened on my rents minivan and we had to change the tire...i think it has something to do with un-even tread wear.....

And if you have uneven tire wear, you need to get your alignment checked.

I have brand new tires on all four wheels. I just replaced them a few months ago in hopes of solving the problem.

did you lock up your brakes recently? They might be flat spotted. That happened to me, nothing a 20 second burnout doesn't fix

it's your inner cv joint boots, buddy. go and get those repaired, and your worries are gone. shuddering over 45 mph? i can't say it any better, check your inner cv boots, they have got to be torn pretty bad. hehehe.

could be many things: wheel bearings, tires poorly balanced, bad tie rod ends, even a dead strut or broken spring, and rotors if its associated with braking. look under 'troubleshooting' in the hayne's manual. good luck.
