Anyone try SLIME?

Has anyone ever put that green stuff called "Slime" in their leaking tire? I had one leaky tire and I used it. After, I got my tires balanced and got an alignment. Then, I noticed another of my tires was leaking so I used an other bottle of Slime. Fixed the leak, but my steering wheel shakes at speeds 40 mph and above. Do you think I need to get my wheels balanced again? Thanks...

I know I should get some new tires.

If you put fix-a-flat in your tire and you get that tire replace, make sure you inform the shop that there is fix-a-flat in there. That stuff is highly flameable.

fix-a-flat will eat away at the rubber over time. It should only be used to get you to a new tire. I think the best thing to do is patch it yourself, all you need is windex so you can find the leak (if it isnt obvious). Patch kit shouldnt be more then $10.

You should never use that crap, carry a spare tire with you. I would take off the tire from the rim and clean all that crap out if I were you, or buy a new tire. I think it eats up the rim coating.

Once you use it on a busted tire, the tire is a goner, you'll need to buy a new one.

Or what you can do is get one of those compressors that work off of your lighter. pump it up and plug the hole. wont take long at all and will be cheaper then getting a new tire and messing up your rim. That stuff is like acid.
