If this guy is really from the Middle East, he'd know it's known as the Gulf States - unless his English is poor and this is how he translates from Arabic to English (we should give him the benefit of the doubt).

Middle Eastern Maxima's same spec as US models - complete with US style VIN codes in windshield. The Maxima is seen & marketed as an American vehicle, not Japanese.
Was in Dubai in April '04 & saw plenty of 3rd gen & newer Maximas - trim levels designated as either 30G or 30V.

As an aside, in Saudi Arabia, they're gonna outlaw tinted windows as the Al Qaeda guys drive BMW's with tints & the security services can't see their weapons as they drive around.

Not much crime in Saudi Arabia - too many Police, Religious Police & Military Police makes Saudi Arabia an effective dictatorship. If we didn't need their oil, the US would be "leaning" heavily on it's "government" to be more democratic...
If the US & it's coalition forces ever gets Afghanistan & Iraq under control (and although I think the UN are useless, they'd have to be involved...), Iran, Syria & Jordan are the next targets for supporting terrorists both financially and geographically.
