No more Infiniti/Nissan for me...car is gone.
295hp/330tq and GM sounds like an LT1 F-Body with an intake. The LT1s came with either 275hp or 285hp depending on year. If it is an LT1, I'm your guy. I owned a 94 Z28 for 3.5 years before getting the Maxima.

nope not even close. I'll let him tell what it is though.

A sad day for I30 owners. Ever since Louie owned that car I really liked it. It really inspired me to get this I30. I hope you get back into the Maxima/I30 game at some point, but right now your job needs otherwise. You'll have plenty of fun with what you're getting, but in a different way, for sure.
What's going on with the legal situation? You got the car titled before this happened, right? Any luck getting revenge on the truck driver? Are you still blamed for the accident? I hope you have better luck in the future. Neither you or your car deserved this. Hopefully it's all for the best though.

Arrival Blue 2004 Silverado Extended cab, Z71, loaded with 6-disc in-dash CD w/ XM, On-Star, Front Power Buckets, locking rear diff, 3.73s, 4wd, tow package, the whole 9 yards.
Plans already include Silverado SS exhaust and some minor mods. Pics coming quickly. I deposited on it last week, drove it last Fri, and pick it up this Friday.

I was very, very close to purchasing almost the exact same truck, same color and everything. Then I test drove the 04 Maxima and it was all over. That sure is a nice truck.
I had to have a truck for work , and it WILL suck at the pump. Originally, the plan was to commute in the I30 and to by a beater truck to drive on-site, btu when the I30 was destroyed, I had to change plans. I found a GREAT 2000 SE to buy, but the thought of buying 2 cars, having 2 car payments, paying insurance on both of them, and the whole complication seemed like too much.
Sticker on the truck was $34,475. I got it for $24,304 with 12 miles on it- and I put 3 of those miles on during the test-drive.

That's a hell of price for the truck. I rent tons of trucks for work and the extended cab 4X4 Silverados are pretty nice. I like the front end, but hate the side profile of the front fender. It looks like it's missing the something. The fenderguards of the Z51 package seem to help things though. Did you ever consider the new F-150? Holy crap that's the best truck built right now, bar none. The Chevys and Dodges don't hold a candle to this thing. The old F-150 is crap compared to the new one. It's super quiet, great power, very solid and rugged, awesome looks, excellent steering and brakes. I think GM really needs to beef up their truck chassis if they want to compete with the new F-150. The only thing I like better about Chevy is the tranny and engine. The Vortec and 4L60E tranny feel more lively.
I usually see 14-15mpg in the city and 17-18mpg on the highway with the Chevys and Fords. This is unloaded and driving like a saint too. Ouch!!!! I'm glad my company picks up the $45 fuel bill.

The leather interior would probably be more supportive though. The Chevy seats look crappy (quality-wise), however they are quite comfortable. I really enjoyed having a 04 Suburban for about 2 months on one of my jobs.
I also got word that there was complication with me using my GM discount (and they were right- my purchase did NOT qualify, when we read the really, REALLY small print), so I had to work out a new price based on a "regular" purchase...$25,537.

sorry to see it go. you will love the new ride. I've driven one and man they're nice. oh, and atleast you didn't buy a ford.
