Well i work at a auto parts place near where i live and we only sell to like gas stations and auto places, not the public, and one of our customers is a body shop and did the work for me at a good price, but since they did it at that price...some things got a little messed up...but long story short...1,000

-isnt that a honda color ... electric blue or somthin...
-bright but looks good, id keep ur eye on thoes rust spots.. if the rust wasnt 100% REMOVED then its going to come back for revenge. Some body shops just bondo over the rust and sand that down, 4 months later the paint will start bubbling.
-now get some spings and slam that sucker it will look great with 0 wheel gap.
-take pics of thoes rims.. what sizes are they, look nice

Me either...of course that means a lot more work for me. I have to redo all the stuff I have already painted but blue is so common now. I had decided to paint it another color a couple of weeks ago.

nismo3366 the car does look good though and someone did a nice job on it.

Dont get me wrong I still love blue. I just want to pick a different color...more of a toned down luxury look instead of a "look at me" attention grabbing look.

nope changed my mind. Its all going to have to be repainted. The blue primer isnt a big deal since its just a first layer for bare metal protection. The rest of the primer I used for slicking the body out is all grey anyway since to have tinted primer it would have cost me an arm and a leg. Really the only part I dred is the engine bay. The interior pieces are no biggie but the engine bay will have to come apart again. I may just wait though and paint it later when I do the VTCs because I will have better access then.

my car is an se and it has the same grille but its a 91. I was really considering that pepsi blue look, but i didnt think it would go good with my interior. I think im going with black or a dark **** grey. But yours looks tyte and i give you props. i think you beat a few people here to it.

I think it looks very nice. That color is unique, but not flamboyant. I think it is not any more "look at me" than my car, even though mine is a factory color.

I understand about not being able to lower your car, too. I just decided to wait until after the winter, anyway. I don't want to use my foglights as snowplows. Mine looks worse than yours because I have the tires that came with my wheels, which are too small

Looks nice, keep up the good work.

Well I think therealgoon was just kidding (but maybe not) and I had changed my mind a few weeks ago well before you posted pics.

I do not follow I lead and your car nor anyone elses (or their opinion) had nothing to do with me changing my mind. Besided the blue I used is much darker than that one and has a slight purple tint to it (IS300 blue) even though it doesnt look that way in the pics (the flash really makes it look brighter).

Besides who cares if you made someone else change their mind. Do what you like and thats all that matters. The only thing I dont like (and you didnt do this) is when someone sets out to do an exact copy of what someone else has done instead of being original their self...that really gets under my skin.

Also dont worry about lowering it. If you like how it sits (and you stated that earlier) then its fine. Its your car so do what makes you happy not what someone else wants you to do.

I hope you read my post and didnt think I was saying his color was "look at me". I was talking about my car and my color and had nothing to do with his car.

I just dont want people to think I was being negative about his car. His car looks really good and I like it. Just like I like Derrick's car which is a similar color.

I guess I shouldnt have put my comments in his thread and for that I apologize but I was just replying to someone when I saw they were not painting their car blue.

Anyway no more PWing for me lol.

again nismo3366 good job and the car looks great. You can tell its a quality job too because of the reflective images.

That is a great blue...looks like the Audi "Nogaro Blue" you see on some of the S4's.

Anyway, it looks really sharp!

what does that mean???

- suspention was the best thing i have ever did in my life, changed my whole prespective of cars and style. It really has very little to do with the looks. The preformance gain from getting a hard suspention set-up is *unbelieveable* really pushes the maxima alot closer to a real sports car. the looks are just somthing extra.
-does anyone agree with me or am i alone on this one??

excellent choice of color. it looks like OEM code B16, carribean blue, they use on G35's and Altys. i painted my S14 that color. is a head-turner and tasteful, too.
