GXE to SE gauge cluster.

Theres a 1990 Maxima SE (manual) that I am going to take the gauges from and switch them with my 1992 Maxima GXE (auto). Well how do I hook up the over drive so that it works in the SE gauge cluster? Or should I just hook up an LED light so I know when over drve is on or off?

Suggestions-Help?

Thanks for reading.

From 89-91, the O/D light was on the right in the cluster of warning lights. Maybe it is just plug n play? Otherwise, I would do what you suggest.

switch the black surround from your gxe to the se cluster and add a bulb to the overdrive socket (its there) and it will work. I have tried it and it does work. I tried with an 89 gxe cluster and an 89-91 se cluster.
