ok , i already have a stillen kit w/ sarona sides , but i hate it. i bought my self the mt front lip and stillen sides.
should i first put on the mt lip and stillen sides? (need to be paited etc etc)
local paint guy said $800 to paint front lip and front whole bumper b/c of nissans cheap paint chips, plus paint stilen sides and fix a little dent on rear passenger door, and repaint rear bummper with stillen rear . sound a little high b/c the color of my car is glacier pearl white, 3 stage color cost alot more.

I also have 18' chromes but i wanna get new rims/tires so should i go out and buy the 19' axis supermesh with tires 1st ?im gettind the rims staggered 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear those alone w/o tires are $1400ish plus w/tires im lookign at $2000.

Which should i got for 1st ?

And as soon as these 2 thigns are done , cattman headers and frankencar cat back.

 

anyone want 18' chromes w/tires... $650 1 rimes a little curbrashed and chrome chiped

yea well as for now the 255hp max w/ the cai is doing pretty well performace wise, so its good to fukc with but beauty wise it looking kinda iffy , if you know what i mean, later on ill hype up some performace, needs to get me up b4 we do anything u know.

I totally agree... QMax... it doesn't sound like your car is lowered (at least from your profile and mod list)... and if ya wanna think about 19s or a kit... lower it first... the wheel gap with the stock 17s is bad enough... let alone some 18s or 19s....

 

Good call. For 1/4 the price of those 19's and tires, get some springs and struts. Then get some $1500 18's+tires. Same money, looks better.

i have sterling mist and thats like metallic silver which is expensive also. But i got my rear bumper painted for 250... great price, and also great work, I think your getting ripped from that shop.

 

Okay... but I'd still get a good performance mod over a kit.... headers or y-pipe + cat-back.... then again... that's just me...

if i didn't do sales in my max, I'd have the headers, lowered, body kit, and possibly NOS by now, but who's gonna write a 150k purchase order to a guy who shows up to a meeting in that... Makes me sad! Now I have to find ways to make it fun w/out showing it. Next up, struts, sway bar, and any other suspension goodie I can find that DOES NOT lower it (well, maybe an inch, but no more).

 

well i already have a injen intake, im also lowered, but that 800 inclused the dent on my rear door as well. front bumper,rear bumper, side skirts and dent. yea i was thinkihn about getting headers and a francencar exhast 1st but i jsut want to be able to come out side and see a car i can be pleased with lookwise 1st. the maxima already packs a good punch to begin with.

 

Just dont start putting huge NOS stickers on the side and we'll all be happy! i agree it does have a lot of pwr and if you already have the parts and want to get the dents / scratches / chips fixed, you're going in the right direction. I'd repaint mine too if idiots in DC wouldn't hit my bumpers trying to parallell park and the damn trucks on the beltway around here didn't insist on dumping rocks onto any nice looking cars behind them.

Post pics when you're done (unless you slap on a sticker or two, then, and I'm sure I speak for all of us here, we really don't want to see it!).

 

Thats a little high , but not out of the ordinary.Depending how estensively you paint is messed up. The shop down hear wants to charge me $80 bucks to paint the front lip with 3 coats of paint and 2 coats of a polymer clear this way its alot more durable to rocks etc. Just keep checking i say...


If it was me , i would do intake/ exhaust/ headers+y-pipe. I think you would be more happy with performance than cosmetic appeal.

 

yea right ! im sorry no stickers for me, i jsut want the stillen kit, with the 19 axis dropped and ill be happy with the outside, then ill start the perfomance, im done with the interior, got leather , marble dash trim , kenwood touch screen double din radio, nice little system and im happy , exterior wil be done soon as well as asson as im all finished pics will be up .

$800 is a bit extreme. I got my rear bumper painted and MT lip painted and installed for $350. They also did one of the side view mirrors because the guy saw a few dings in it and they just painted it for no charge. I would definitely go to a few other places and get prices.

As for which mod to do next, I would go with eibach springs and illumina shocks/struts, need to take care of the gap.

 

It should look pretty hot after you get done. 19" axis, dropped, and stillen body kit is a good combination.

 

im hearing that its a bit to much , but you paid 350 only to paint rear bumper and front lip, so im doing FRONT and Rear ENTIRE bumpers PLUS front lip , rear lip, that alone would have cost you $700 since you paid 350 a bumper+kit im also getting a dent fixed and side kit painted so i think 800 is great, considering my color is 1 of the hardest colors to match.

 

$8000 for all that!!!!!! sounds right to me... Nissan wants $350 Front bumper and Forget about it ( color mis-match!!!)
