My insurance went down from last year....

Well, partly cuz I'm getting older and somehow they didn't count the 2 tickets I had... haha...

Well... i was planning on a big drop in insurance b/c i'm turning 25 in 2 weeks. BUT... it only dropped a little bit. I'm assuming it's b/c of the high insurance claims (HID theft).

I just got my premium notice last week. No increase, but I'm not sure if the new invoice was generated before or after the list came out.

My insurance went down 1200 dollars. Of course, thats 1200 down from 4800 to 3600. Still horrible high, but I had a lead foot back in my teen years, toned iit down, and haven't gotten a ticket in three years.

Mine recently dropped about 1200 also (was 4,200 / yr). Of course, they don't know about those two tickets in OH for doing 90 yet, and we won't tell them, will we...

go to either http://www.geico.com/ or www.progressive.com Either one will give you round about numbers, but I want to warn you, I'm 28 w/ 2 tickets on my record and my insurance costs about 3k a year. my insurance is about 40% of my payments. Tell me who's getting rich here?!?

Sorry to hear this, but I glad i'm not the only one being raped in Boston. I bought my max a little less than a year ago and when they told me my insurance is 3600, I $h1t myself... Hope it goes down this year.

That's amazing. How much do you pay per year if you don't mind me asking. I have GEICO right now. I'm 24 with two tailgating tickets (dropped from speeding) and one at fault accident and I'm paying $1,300 per 6 months. My insurance is higher than my monthly car payment. And it will probably be going up because the accident and the tickets just went on my record recently so when I renew in December I may get...

I doubt that the insurance would go up because of the article saying Maxima was number 2 on the list. It was always pretty much known even before the article put it in writing.

Let's hope this discussion does NOT start again... you must have missed the fiasco on the org when that article was released...

Its based on insurance claims relating to our HID theft... and its something like "estimated most likely to be stolen" or some crap like that... see here for more info... http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/10/19/most.stolen.ap/

And never speak of this again...

Think of this..I used to work for a glass company installing windshields on all sorts of cars. We would do the work and then bill the insurance companies...they would take from 2 to 6 months to pay us. Ouch.

Think of what happens when you're a week late with a car insurance payment...go figure!

I'm in the wrong business!

Maxima are actually number one stolen car in NYC and part of NJ. I remember reading it somewhere on the web, i believe it was Insurance Intitute data

795 bux for full coverage insurance with NO DEDUCTIBLE, rental car and all from State Farm. I pay 350 a YEAR for 500 deductible full coverage with rental car on my 00 Altima. Geico wants almost 2 times as much from me... I dunno if you guys just got good deals from Geico or just didn't check out State Farm. I never had any problems with State Farm, and they repleaced my CF hood 2 times already. They are mega friendly and they cut ya a check right on the spot when the estimate is all done. I'm 24 with normal driving record, I'm not married eighter. Progressive and Geico can suck a hairy one.

As far as that 25 thing... they don't do that any more. It was deemed to be age discrimination. They go purely by years of experience now. Thus the small decrease.

For what it's worth I'm in CA (orange county) i was paying 1107 for 6 mos through Progressive. I still have one ticket left on my record, but an getting a good driver discount, and my premium went UP 7% last renewal. Go figure.

BTW, thats with a 1k deduct. I am currently looking for a new insurance comapny.
