Clearing HID's with no lens

Hey,I can't find a pic of HID's without a clear lens to replace the orange lens.
Can someone post a pic of HID's cleared but with no clear lens covering the blinker? With like just the bulb showing.
Thanks

That looks really good. I'd like to do that to mine. I'm just nervous about cracking into the case.

same here. it looks empty without the lens.

did you guys leave out the lens, cause you didn't want to mess with the cutting of malibu light?

did mine without the lens ...did a couple of more with the lens.. still undesided which looks better.
i think if u r going to use a hyper white for a blinker as some do ..the lens looks better. but if u going to stay legal and use amber ... it looks better without and use the chrome bulb.
MY BAD FOR THE SIZE OF THE PICS .. cant resize them.

here's one with the lens

one without

and here's one without lens but with Polarg true amber bulb. when u take the pic right at it hte reflection of the bulb makes the housing look amber ..hehe

Silverstar also sells "legal" bulbs that blink and light up orange. when they are not on they are a bright blue color in the housing.

not really. i did 5 sets already.
cut the malibu with dremel. and if its just the right size its snaps right in just like the oem amber lens.
the whole process is not hard at all.

Does anyone know the legality of running without a the amber reflector in the front? I know there are issues with the side reflectors but I've seen many cars without amber in the front.

cop pulled me over for blue sidemarkers..
inspected the headlight. made me turn on the turning signal. saw the amber light.
left it alone. so they dont hassle you for the reflector or absense of it.
he just asked me about DDE's (he has a 2001 max), he was disappointed that he cant get it on his max. hehe complimented me on the car. didnt give me a ticket for the blue side markers either. phew.
