when I rode on my friend's auto 2k3 today, I noticed a light metal grinding sound when the car was traveling at slow speeds such as 3 to 15 mph. it sounded very similar to when one tries to shift a manual car with a bad synchro. it sounded pretty nasty, but only audible at low speeds. any suggestions what's causing this? thanx in adv.

 

I'd suggest your friend takes it in to be diagnosed. Being a 2k3, I'd assume that it's still under warranty.

 

i have a simular issue. i have found that it is the Kick down on the tranny. For me it is only after i start the car and put it into gear. but like SE said get it looked at
