Hot damn car feels fast

Check engine light is on. and i took out an auto VW 1.8t gti this morning.

It was about 60 degrees outside. windows down A/C off.. and at stop light just chillin like a villen. GTI pulls up revs and well we take off. took him out too!!!!

well with the combination of the cold weather and the fact that i havent used my (special switch)-- my drop resistor mod++. the car felt super fast with lots of tourqe!!

and all you parents who worry about street racing it was rather early and there wasnt any traffic infront of me so dont worry no lives were in danger!

Must be nice to be able to even crack your windows. Last night it was more of windows up, heated seats on.

I know the feeling, being in the south it feels good to finally have your car not feel sluggish due to the heat and to ride around with the windows down and the a/c off

Sorry for asking, but since I don't have access to the search function, what is the drop resistor mod?

Well, my opinion is if you are racing than your own life doesnt count as being put in danger since you are the one that put it there. (It matters but doesnt count in terms of lives at risk)

I was there to verify it!

I talked to the rider afterwards and he let me take a pic of his awesome bike!

Are you kidding? You can't get much further south. Louisiana is

You do realize you are racing a car that has about 170 hp vs 222 in the max. Real fair race there..

it's interesting/fun how the vq responds so much better in cooler weather. definitely have to use a lighter touch on the throttle to avoid unintentional wheel spin from a stop. but even on the highway the torque is noticeably improved, the gab really compliments the cooler air flow.

Yes they love the cool air, my 3.5's love it and both feel like rockets.

power to weight. that's what it's all about. that's why the Lotus Elise (that right?) the new, small one w/the toyota celica GTS 190 hp engine... anyways, it hits 60 in under 5 seconds if my memory serves me right. oh but wait, it's 'only 190 hp' must be no competition for my "255" hp maxima....

the weather here is between 40's and mid 40's glad i have my heated steering wheel. as for racing, i dont mind the racing but after i race i can see my gas needle noticably drop, so i try not to race to much, i smoke most of the cars out there anyways, so i dont even bother sometimes, i dont know about beating a sport bike, they go 10's on the 1/4 and top speed is like 160? not too sure, but bikes are real fast, unless that guy raced a dirt bike or a moped or an very old old bike made in the 80s....

Regardless, this dude is comparing apples to oranges. Thats like saying, my MB E55 killed a toyotal corolla. Not a fair race IMO...but hey, Its a toyota corolla.

You notice that as well whenever I push the 03 Max or 350 I notice the gas hand moves down, I also notice after it drops below the 3/4 mark that hand drops like a falling rock on both.

I guess you are stupid, then.... There is no maxima anywhere on this board - (even turbo or s/c) that can take out any kind of well-ridden, real sport bike. No, those fake buzz bikes with the 150cc engines do not count....A late 90's Kawasaki Ninja (500cc engine) can run lhigh 9's to low 10's stock with a half-decent rider @ around 145 mph..... My brother takes his Ducati Monster (also 500cc), bone stock, and pulls a 10.5 @140 mph (and he says he doesn't push it very hard at all). These are "typical" sportbikes that you can see on public streets. Last time at the track with my bro a guy was running some classic mid-70's 250cc bike and putting up low 11's.......

to show you this point even more: A Honda Gold Wing (whcih is one of those big-a s s touring "luxury" bikes and not very fast) runs the 1/4 in about 12.5 @105mph. You can't do that in your Maxima there, donkey.

so, until you know what you're talking about, shut your mouth. You did not beat any kind of motorcycle unless it was one of those little buzz bikes, which look like sportbikes but have Vespa scooter engines (125cc at best). Motorcycles have a power-to-weight ratio that is, in most cases, impossible to match with a car (especially a 3300 lb car like the maxima). If you "beat" a motorcycle, there is a 100% chance he was not racing you, not looking at you, not even knowing you exist.....

as to me being upset about your driving skills...well...whatever, bring your whip up here and we'll hit a road course and see who's the better driver....

but you'd probably tell everyone afterwards that I showed up in a 911 turbo and you beat me by 27 cars

yup no max will ever beat a bike even with a turbo and engine work, and you could be a pro drag racer and still couldnt even beat a bike, or no matter how you drive your max, THERS NO WAY YOU CAN BEAT A SPORT BIKE!!! he must have some rocket engine inside his max..hmmm now thats serious power!!! i want one!!! it would take alot to make maximas to hit 10s, he prolly raced a moped...

But you have an unfair advantage with your nicely painted window spoiler...

I'm just playin man....

And yeah, just to beat this to the ground... there's no way a Max could beat a real street bike....
