Driving today hit the brake hard and these three lights were illuminated on my dash:
TCS light, ABS light and SLIP light.

Searched the forum and some say it is related to coils that need to be replaced.
Others say it can be the battery, or alternator issue.

Car was built in Feb 01, so..it has the' "bad coils". I have replaced one of them. And have 5 more ready to go from local auto recycle center.

Old Coil has 1130 printed on it, "new coil" from local junk yard has 0724 printed on it.

Search also says that "new coils" have a white dot on them which my "new coils do not.

Guess I can replace the other 5 coils since I got em.. but.. would be nice if someone could tell me if there is any way to identify "new" vs '"old" coils.

the updated coils for 2k-2k1 should have a grey dot on them. you can check the part number from jerryromenissan.com just to double check. is it a possibility that you got the new coil from the junkyard that was from a 2k2 or 2k3?

 

I am not sure if the coils came from a 2k2 or 2k3 version. Is there any way to tell?

There is a plastic "bump" about the size of a penny on the side of one and not the other. Can post a picture if anyone thinks it will help.
