Does anyone know where I can get the figures for how many Majestic Blue AE's were made? I tried to call the Nissan customer number, but they couldn't help me. Specifically, I'm looking for how many Majestic Blue 5-speeds were made. Any help in the right direction would be great.

The best I can do is provide the 10,000 number for AEs overall. Based on previous threads on this board, a very low percentage of Maximas are actually sold paired with manual trannys. I believe the 3% value was thrown out once before. If that is true then there would only be 300 5-speed AEs built. I assume that the majority will be sold in Majestic Blue since the color is unique to that model. Of course, I could be just full of s$$t. Either way, nice car...I've got one of the 5-speed AEs too...almost went for the Blue but just loved the Gray too much. My dealer told me two weeks ago that I was the only person they've sold a 5-speed AE to yet...they've only received four AEs, mine being the only 5-speeds. One Gray Lustre 5-speed (mine), one Icelandic Pearl Auto (sold), one Majestic Blue Auto (sold), and one Gray Lustre Auto (in the showroom).

Not to be contrary or anything but I had looked for manual SEs for a year. When I dropped onto my local Nissan lot and found out about the AE by seeing it 3 of the 6 AEs on the lot were manuals. One was Majestic Blue but it was an automatic. I purchased a grey manual one on the spot. They messed up the installation of an optionand I asked them to search for either a Majestic Blue or Grey one and I lucked out when they found a Majestic Blue manual for me.

More to the point I found out that manuals are almost 30% of production on AEs and Majestic Blue does not represent a huge percentage of production of AEs - the percentage is similar to the percentage of each other color. Thus, due to the huge demand for Maj Blue AEs they were very difficult to come by.

I feel very priviledged to have my car and very lucky to have dropped by my dealer at the right time to get an AE.
