Front lips and rear lips for a 00 max

i'm planning to get a front lip and rear lip for my 00 max.
my max currently looks too stock, i don't like it.
I can't install one of those full body kits, since i street park a lot, dumba$$ ny drivers tend to scrath my car a lot.

i was just thinking to get the AE front and back, but this costs a fortune.
is there anywhere where i can get the AE front and back for cheap?
or anything that doesn't look too spaceship-like.
i like to maintain the car as low profile as possible while making it look good.

can anyone show me some pics?

also, for those who have installed any aftermarket performance parts or body kits in NY, what shops would you recommend me to go?
almost all the shops i went, they all kinda tried to rip me off.......

thanx!

Look in the group deals section. Triple8sol is hooking up the ABS Dynamics front and rear lip for $300 shipped. Killer price, and the looks to match!

damn, that abs one has a great price.
thanks for the input guyz.

just one more thing, how much does it usually cost to paint those and install those?

i'm worried that i might get ripped off, i already got ripped bad with car audio installation......

i paid $150 to have a mono amp and a subwoofer installed, i provided all cables, the amp, the sub and the enclosure.......

i wonder when will i get out of this noobness.......

My best suggestion to you is to shop around. I'm in the body and paint industry and generally, you get what you pay for. I would figure at least a few hundred dollars to paint the front and rear lips. If you want a sure fire way to find good body shops in your area, call your insurance company. See who they have listed as part of their direct repair program ( At least that's what it's called here in Hawaii.) They should have a list of preferred shops that they send all of their customers to...based on quality of repair. Also, visit the shops. See what their facilities look like. How's their customer service. These are all keys to finding out if you'll be happy in the end. Good luck!

Oh yeah, $150 for strictly labor is high! Same thing applies to stereo installation, as well as body and paint. I also used to work at a stereo shop and we used to charge $100 to install an amp.....and that included wires and rca's. Even with a 4 gauge upgrade it was $125. As long as you're not having any problems....I wouldn't worry about it!

If you want to see pics of the ABS pieces, I have them on my car. Check my homepage for pics. I did the install myself. And it cost me about $200 to have the front, rear and 2 grills painted. Overall I'm very satisfied. It's still on and I've rubbed it a few times.

Go in the trunk, disassemble and reassemble your mono amp and sub. When you realized what you paid $150 for, you will then:
1) Be liberated to do all car installs yourself (the instructions for car audio is just as easy as setting up a computer)
2) Learn the value of saving $ on labor by doing it yourself
3) No longer be a noob.
