^ street tires?

damn... that dyno is about the same, or bit less than what a 350z gets, yet most cant dip into the 13s, with a MANUAL to... let alone an AUTO...

good job!

what's the difference with the STD/SAE corrected dynos?

im surprised u trapped that high as well... since the power to weight with an auto and a good launch, I thought you would only get about 97.5 98mph..... *thumbs up*

Nice time. That's impressive. And btw anyone who can't get a stock 350z 6speed into the 13s can't drive worth crap. It's not hard. I know 2 guys who have run 13.6s.

I guess all our 350Z owners in the Midwest Z-club can't drive then because there isn't a single naturally aspirated one out of 10 that are in the 13s at my track There is a twin turbo one in the upper 12s@120mph and a couple SC'd ones in the mid 13s. 14.2-14.4@99mph is norm for these guys, stock or with a few boltons.

I guess so. Back in april when I was at the track and brian ran his z to 13.6 @ 103.x there were 3 or 4 other Z there, all running times similar to what you mention. They were all wondering how brian was running so fast, etc, and through talking to them we determined that A) they couldn't drive that well because they were track noobs, and B) they were all shifting at like 6000-6200rpm... We were like WTF find your rev limter and shift there. Right off the bat some guy with mods who was running like 14.1 @ 101.5 ran 13.9 @ 103.x, and later a 13.8, and the other guys improved too. Another made it into the 13s and the last guy I think was stuck running like 14.0s but he couldn't launch to anything better than like a 2.4 60'

Brian went to the track the other day with his first mod, test pipes, and went 13.3 @ 104.

Edited the last trap speed.

Wasn't Brian on your slicks when ran his stock 13.6?

he repeated that time later in the year in colder temps. I believe he ran the 13.6 on slicks when it was like 95 degrees out.

He ran a 13.62 on my slicks last summer at my track when it was like 90 out on a 1.91 60' and then a 13.68 on his snow tires this spring when it was like 50 out on a 2.09 60' at byron.

By the way the 13.38 he ran the other day was on some 18" DRs that he borrowed and wasn't allowed to do burnouts in because they were at the end of their life but their owner wanted to get some more street racing out of them. So he didn't heat them up at all just drove up to the line and went. He still was able to get a 1.90 60' out of them though. This was at byron and it was about 50 degrees I think (I wasn't there because I had just wrecked my car).

Veetec ran a 13.7@103mph when I saw him at the track a few weeks ago. Bone stock 350z down to the factory wheels and tires.

BTW, congrats man, one fast auto.

Nice times...I believe you.....But I find it hard to believe given the sloppy nature of Nissan Automatic transmissions.

I have not found a hard, fast shifting automatic yet....You must have a good one!!

This is not anything against juice AT ALL, but there are quicker automatic maximas out there, so what's so hard to believe about this one?

Juice..a couple of questions...

1. How big of a change was there after the VB Job?

2. How much did parts and labor cost you?

Thanks,

Bill

nice times and trap's man! glad to see your top end was strong compared to the last track experience you posted about, gainin 17 mph in the last 1/8 mile. 20 mph gain is more like it! congrat's bro!
Far as a strong shifting tranny, the drop resistor mod helps me at the track, can only imagine the VB mod would help a lot as well

Great times! You have one fast Max. What tires are you running on? Your 60' time is amazing. I've been struggling getting my 60' times down <2.2. I'm looking to go to the track in Dec. and try for a new personal best. So far I've managed to get 13.9 @ 101 mph. Goin' in Dec. on drag slicks. Should help me some.

Again congrats! Any vid by chance?

I have seen a n/a 350z run 13.6 at the track against h2kFrostly. He gave Frosty the best run out of everyone.

13.81 @ 100.5 with a 2.145 60ft...but I bounced off the rev limiter in 1st gear. That was an easy 13.7 or even possibly a 13.6.

lol...well 13.72@99.7 was the fastest I ever went on street tires, and that was before headers. Never got back to the faster track after the header install. Good luck I'd like to see a 13.60 out of that car

100.95 is my record trap speed on street tires but I didn't pull but a 13.8. Im pretty sure you will knock that out when you go back to Englishtown. Actually I hope you beat it by a lot. I want to see a 13.6@102
