Infiniti I30 rear view mirror

I know a few people on the org switch to an I30 rear view mirror, just want to know what you think of them. Any info what you can provide would be great.

I like it but some people complain about them in the way they work in general. I think it's the best thing I've done for comfort etc. Then again, I'm going to connect my I-30 heated seats today so I may like those better than the mirror. Either way, I like it. Go to car-parts.com, I've seen them for 35 bucks on there.

Oh, I hard wired mine, stays on all the time. Maybe I shouldn't have but I didn't think it was a huge drain on the battery or anything and it has worked just fine thus far.

Sounds good thank you for your reply. Wiring shouldn't be a problem, although is it a direct swap, nothing major should be done in order to install it?

mirror

There is a plate screwed to the roof that holds the mirror. Just pull the mirror off and the clip will come loose, nothing will break. Then you can unscrew the plate with the mirror out of the way. When you install the new mirror you will have to find power, some with the ignition, illumination, a ground and something else, depending on what you got the mirror from. I got mine from a 96 I-30, I had 4 wires on the new mirror. Supposedly they had several different mirrors, different wiring diagrams. I called an infiniti dealer and they told me what the wires went to.
