how do you know its your fuel pressure regulator, what is exactly wrong with your car....and BTW this site has GOOD help...its just not on 24/7 because people here are real, and have real lives, they can't always be around all the time....also I own a VE so i dont know much about your motor....do you have a Chilton...it should show you where its at in it. If I remember Correctly, the fuel pressure regulator should be somewhere on the fuel rail(the thing that has 3 injectors on each side), it should be at the beggining of one of them.....I have a VE so Im not sure.....look in your repair manual, chilton or whatever and it should show it....tell the parts place you need a fuel perssure regulator for a 1992 Nissan Maxima GXE with VG30E motor and whethere its auto or manual and they should be able to get the correct one

they dont know wich one i need. ther are 2 diff models for the 92 gxe. also the car runs like crap, its flooding alot, so when i turn it off it wont crank up so i have to pull the fuel pump fuse and give it gas and it will start, but smelss like gas reaaaly bad, and then it putters like crazy for a few mins and smokes black smoke. it runs like crap, putters at low rpms. also i dont know for sure if it is the presure regualtor, but thats what i have been told. no one where i live knows anything about maxima's. i have 500$ in my pocket and i want to get this damn thing fixed. i have been trying to get someone to help me for 2 months non stop. NO ONE i mean no one is willing to help me, im so sick of maxima's i want to burn mine and watch it melt.

also the suspension is messd up, when im decelerating it makes a nock nock nock nock nock nock sound but reaaly fast, also does it when im turning, its coming from underneath my feet. under the car.

as i said if someone wants to help me online, via aim, yahoo, msn, or phone i will give them 20$ obo via pay pal, money order, check, maild cash, however u want it. i NEED HELP!!! this is my only ride! im ready to go on a killing spreee because im tired of seeing rich basterds driving there brand new bmw's and honda's around and im stuck with a pos!.

The fuel pressure regulator is attached to the fuel rail. Following the FAQ stickies above to locate a Haynes online manual, this is what it tells me.

This is how it looks like

This is where its located at, which if Im looking at the wires correctly, is near the throttle body which is located in the front of the engine on VG engines

courtesy of www.autozone.com

For directions on the DIY, it seems quite simple to replace yourself http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d801f5181.jsp and only basic tools will be required

Plus, you need to calm down before you get banned

Hahahahaha, you are such a baby. We aren't here to serve you. If you need the car fixed that badly and quickly, take it to a mechanic. You are obviously in over your head. Now have a nice day.

I know this sounds obvious, but I suggest you call up a mechanic and try to work with him to figure out exactly what your problem is. At least they can point you in the right direction over the phone. Really, it sounds like you should have your car worked on by a professional mechanic.

I am not being sarcastic, because you said in your first post, "I cant fix anything on it either because I dont know where to begin."

If you don't even know where to begin, messing around with something as dangerous and combustible as gasoline probably isn't in your best interest.

I know it's expensive to have someone work on your car, but driving is a privilege not a right. If you can't afford to drive it (and fix it), then take the bus.

As for people answering your question, there are a lot of busy guys on the weekends. There are also a limited number of 3rd gen guys with VG engines that work on their own cars. I have no clue about the part numbers for you car because I have a VE. I don't know if they are the same or not. At any rate, getting questions answered usually takes time. Being a jerk about it gets you no where but banned or your thread locked.

did you pay to join this site?
did you pay us to answer your questions?
are we in any way obligated to answer yours or anyone's question here?

all the answers are NO.

we're not here to be your Q&A. we often answer A LOT of questions..but this site is not a paid advice forum. you are standing infront of the car...not us. you need to have enough skills to figure out what's wrong w/ your car. if you're demanding answers then you're not helping your cause.

if your fuel regulator is bad then replace it. call up your local dealer and ask what the OEM part number is..then match it up with the one you posted. of course if your regulator gets swapped and it's still messed up....then you have no one to blame but yourself. it's very clear you are in over your head. take it to a professional.
