straight pipe?

ok, so this dude i know who owns a maxima, and knows nothing on what to do to it, for ex, he doesnt know what a y-pipe is, when i asked him, he said is that the dual exaust?

eh, thats besides the point though, he said he got a straight pipe, i havnt seen many people do that on the org, he has a 98 with an intake, and is getting this straight pipe, does it have a lot of gains? ionno.. personally i wouldnt do it.. but what you guys think?

Emmission laws and "test pipes" don't always agree. Just keep letting him think that Y pipe is dual exhaust.
Some people have no clue.

Mr. Duck. I have a 97 auto se and had purchased the warpspeed y/2.5'' catback exhaust because i was misinformed about the product(Thought an actual magnaflow had came with the catback, was just a crappy sounding clone) After a month couldnt stand the raspiness and i found a guy to straightpipe it for 25 bucks so i figured i'd try it. Its cool for the first day because its obnoxiously loud, after a week you'll wanna shoot yourself. I'm only 17 and do get into a lot of trouble and dont like to obey the law, this gave me 4 months of cop's pulling out to follow me before i was even close to them...especially at like 4am it just ECHOES. As far as performance, If you like the maximas lowend kick, you'll be kissing it goodbye. It may have went faster through the 60-100 mph range because of less restriction but nothing incredibly noticable. Had a flowmaster 40 series put on, got all my low end back, very nice sound have had nothing but compliments, I love it. Wouldnt reccomend anyone to go with a straight pipe.

btw a lot of people get confused as the y-pipe splitting into dual exhaust, i never did, but i've actually ended up talking to a lot of people that try to visualize it that way lol.
