Automatic drivers - post your times

I looked in the timeslips section, and noticed there are very few automatics posting their times, I Want to know what my car is capable of with little modification. I know deezo ran a 15.6 stock and jime ran a 12.9 with alot of mods, i want to know how many people are in the middle? what mods do you have? is it hard to get my 4th gen auto into the 14s?

Thanks

Check out my website for my mods list. It's very easy to get a 4th gen auto in the 14s. Just do the right things. Intake, Ypipe, UDP, little weight reduction, and maybe ECU and you will be in the 14s very easily if you know what you're doing.

Your #'s are interesting.

I dynoed my car on a Mustang dyno and got 185whp (too) and 200wtq, cattman ypipe and k and n drop in. Big deal I know, but I wasn't expecting anything big. Anyway, I know dynojet's always get better #'s, and the owner of the shop even told me add 10% to a Mustang dyno for equivalant of Dynojet dyno.

I haven't really gone to the track, but the car trapped 93-94 BONE stock with 14.7-14.9's, so I hope to be getting mid 14's with a decent launch with my mods.

Anyway my pb are in the sig. I only ran once this year with ypipe/intake combo and ran low high 14 94 and low 15 93 in 80 degrees crap launch. Eh.

Best run is in sig.....think it should be a couple tenths faster, but then who doesn't? On a side note, that is my best ET, not my best trap speed....I did a slower 15.43 with a 94.8 mph trap.

WHy even waste time on the gtech, the gtech pro at least. You're trapping under 91mph, maybe even lower with that ET.

IIRC from old slip:

60ft 2.29
1/4mile 15.019@91.94mph

Mods: Intake, Y-pipe, B-pipe, drop resistor

Insulation, door panels, back seat, spare tire, jack...Who needs that for a track run? Front tires 28psi/rear tires 33psi

Launch 1,400rpm Braketorque->1/2throttle->full throttle. Manual upshifts to redline (2k-2k1's short shift before peak HP in 'D')

The silly things I had to do to be at least as quick as a 5speed of the same year

It's true. G-Techs are off most of the time. You really need to run at a track to get the correct times.

New personal best yay!
0-60 mph: 6.91 secs
1/4 mile: 15.23 secs @ 95.7 mph
even if you factor in the 2-3 mph optimistic trap speed that the g-tech pro is known for, it's still a pretty good trap speed.
oh yeah, and the specifics: 41 degrees farenhiet @ 61% humidity, night.
minus the back seat, spare donut, and jack...tires are 235/45/ZR17 sumitumos. 45 psi front, 50 psi rear...brake-torqued at about 1350 rpm and still got a fair bit of wheelspin....probably because I didn't feel like lowering the air pressure in the front tires...oh well.

Yeah, I am doing mid 14s and I've only seen a 94 mph trap speed once. This winter, I will be posting low low 14s.

wow....I'm glad there are so many people here that don't take time out to read the entire post...let me say..err...type it once more "even if you factor in the 2-3 mph optimistic trap speed that the g-tech pro is known for, it's still a pretty good trap speed."
Happy now? oh yeah and the nearest track is 4 hours away....so blow me....and who's to say a track timing device is more or less accurate than a g-tech?....jesus christ people, take the stick out of your asses for once.

your intelligence really thrives with this post. If you don't have legit times to post from a legit 1/4 or 1/8th mile track its worthless to post in this forum. I say the track timing device is more accurate bc thats what its made for, when you're at the track you dont plug something in your cig lighter to pull 1/4 mile times. I know someone personally whos ran both at the track and the g-tech was within a few tenths of the actual posted time but the trap speed on the g-tech was 4mph+ fast. Now how do you like them apples?....Thanks and drive through and please get your panties out of the wad they are in.

Wow, you're right blowbyme....the gig is up...I really ran 18.56 @ 73.2 mph....there's just no fooling you...and by the way, I probably have more intelligence in my left pinky than you have in your feeble body...it's people like you who ruin the experience for everyone...have you even taken time out to read about the G-tech or anything? I've read the whole owners manual, I know what it's about and how it works, it's not some cheap trinket that you plug into your lighter that spits out totally random times...If I were you, I'd back up what I was saying and not go around running my mouth about something I know nothing about....peace up a-town.

word to ya motha y0! if you are trying to fool any of the people here with any track experience at all you're just kidding yourself. Also taking shots at me with 2nd grade cut downs will get you nowhere on this forum. Why would I need to read about g-tech, or why would I care if you read the whole manual its all selling advertisements which obviously you believe. I hear the turbonator air is good for 40hp and gets you 25% better gas mileage, you might want to look into that also. I think my data from running at the track and having timeslips from a "REAL" 1/4 mile track and comparing it to the times the g-tech read out on the same run is plenty enough info for me not to buy into the hype. I hope you get a little vacation to calm yourself down...peace up a-town ummm ok....

I won't blow you but I can ban you. I'll give you a chance to straighten yo' shyte up tho'.

Anyone around here with a 1/2 a brain knows that the G-techs are a waste of money. I mean look at yourself, you're all happy about posting your times as if they are "true data" but they're false. The only way to know what your car can do is to go to a track. It really kills me that you are so ignorant to the facts.

Sigh....whatever....I'm going back to automotiveforums.com, where there are fewer pissant ******* posting their mindless babble as what they think is gospel....if you are taking your four door family sedan to a drag strip, THAT is a waste of money...think about it smart guy....and for the record, I never said I had any track experience, I don't know where you guys are inventing things that I say and then proceeding to shoot down a false argument that I never made...it's called straw man...the point of this thread was to post 1/4 and 1/8th times...if I wanted to post a track time, I'd post it in the timeslips thread...it's simple english, you guys should try it sometime...you can start by reading chicka-chicka-boom-boom and maybe eventually someday working your way up to 2nd grade level reading...Yeah go ahead and ban me, I could really give less of a ****...but realize that the only reason you are banning me is because you have no better way to support your argument, and that is pretty pathetic.

One final thing....it's a stretch that a few bad apples can ruin a whole bunch, but you guys have managaed to do it, congratulations...I used to have the utmost respect for this forum, but now I'm not so sure anymore...it's a damned shame that you have nothing better to do with your time than insult people for bogus reasons that you can't even explain yourself. Track = $10-$20 for real world info. That seems a lot cheaper than the cost of that POS G-tech you swear by

exactly you have never been to the track so why are you posting in the 1/4 and 1/8th mile forums? This isn't the G-tech forum.

maybe you should read your own post and hit the books because you sure have the intelligence of a 2 year old when it comes to sentence structure.
