My steering rack is bad. I need to change it myself or have it changed. Stealership wants 1200, my mechanic 800. I can get a new one where I work for 150. I don't really feel like paying 700+ for labor. I've never done any real repairs on my Max, is the rack something I can do? What's involved? Any special tools?
