Maxima.org's dream car: BMW M3

I mean seriously. Everyone on this message board who has a maxima would prefer a BMW M3/M5 over their car. Many of the posters don't have the funds and by the maxima as a intermediate car. Later on, when they have money, M3 time it is!

I'm not saying it's wrong. In fact, I'm in the SAME boat! LOL! I've driven an M3 and want one so bad.

But my question is this... why a BMW and why an M3? Why not a porsche boxster? or a corvette? or a supra? Seems like we have an OVERWHELMING majority of maxima.orger's who's future car will be an M3!

I noticed this a while ago and decided to bring it up.

For some reason I always looked at the Maxima as the Budget 3 series, or the next best thing to a 3series.

Because everyone thinks BMW = money

Most of the people here are young.. as in 25 or younger so they probably have no kids hence no need for a rear seat... so that puts the M5 out of it...

The M3 is just as quick... smaller, and I guess more stylish. The current M3 looks a whole lot better than the new M5.

And why not Corvettes or Boxsters... Boxsters are very feminine and subtle, Corvettes are American... Supras are played the hell out.

I dont wish to have an M3.. I guess if I had the money I MIGHT get one, but I'd settle for a big old LS430 for that kind of money... or even less.. I'd go for a GS430...

Right now I want a LS1 Firebird WS6...

I can afford one but why when I can have fun with my 350 and Max for about the same price. I'm not a corner carver or street racer or anything like that so its handling/acceleration advantage is meaningless to me.

I want a R33 or R34 Skyline GT-R. A Twin Turbo G35c would be great too. If I had the time or money I would try to swap a turbo VQ into a 240sx. I would almost have a RWD 2 door Maxima but not really. For right now I am very happy with the maxima. Although the M3 is very nice and I would by no means say no to one, BMWs are expensive to maintain and I just like Nissan. An M3 is definitely up there on the list though.
