Fuse hunt, bring some ammo...
Fuse hunt, bring some ammo...
Long story short, I need to know where the fuse for the power window switch is hiding. I had power to all windows, through all switches, and now no switch works. Little frustrated. Nice and sunny, but tonight the rain comes... and the windows are down.
it should be in the fuse box under the dash. there is a panel that pops off to the left of the steering colum on the bottom of the dash. the back of the panel should have a sticker on it that says what each fuse is. there should be something in your owners manual about fuses that shows where the fuse boxes are located.
there's also a relay in the driver's switch panel that will disconnect whenever it sees too much current.. check and make sure it's working.
you may want to try to swap out the switch panel with a good one off another car.

welcome, check out the FAQ sites
lots of useful info on there
for example - my site has a description of everything that each fuse controls
Also, you can put the windows up yourself with 12v and ground wires to the connector on the back of the regulator. It's a simple DC motor. 12 and ground on the two wires for one direction, switch the wires and it goes the other way.

Ok, just got back to my computer... maybe I should explain more. The switches don't work, the alarm doesn't set, the auto restraints don't work. The fuse panel is in an obvious place. No, the tag says nothing about windows, win switches, seatbelts. No, the owner's manual doesn't specify anything about the fuse locations(quite tacky if you ask me). Yes, I know how to get the window's up. Not my first day. I figured it out. I mean, with two wires how else would it work? I took a breath, thought about it, and put them up. But.... I need to find the heart of this problem. Is there a control module or fuse for the whole of the door electronics?

edit: I used my photo shop and was able to blow the picture up several times. This helped immensely. Craig, I owe you. Thanks for the coerced motivation. I need that sometimes.
allright, I thought you just weren't reading that post before
depending on which browser you're using, it'll probably try to fit the pic to full size on the screen which reduces the size
for firefox, just clikc on the pic and it gets full size
for interet explorer, hold the mouse over it and then click the magnifying glass in teh corner of the pic (or something like that)
if those dont work, save it to your computer and then view it there with a normal picture viewer to see it full size
