im a poor boy, so i gotta shop around for the cheapest price, and when it comes to coilovers, weapon-r wins the match, but, i gotta ask, how are these things? too stiff? too soft? crappy in general? i like the idea of being able to adjust the ride height to my heart's content, so i know im gonna get coilovers, just wanna make sure weapon-rs arent crap. any input is always greatly appreciated.

how are the OBX or the Arospeed ones? i really dont wanna shell out the $375+ for ground controls.

 

Ground Control are the only sleeve type coilovers worth getting.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend those either.

If you want proper adjustability, you need to get a dedicated coilover SYSTEM like D2, JIC or Tein.

if ur gonna go with sleeve type and not true coilovers.....go with ground control

Cutting corners with suspension gets expensive. This weekend, I'm installing the FIFTH different aftermarket suspension setup on my car. It's what I should have gotten in the first place, but didn't because I was trying to save a few bucks.

Save up a little more dough in the beginning and get good stuff from the get go. You'll thank yourself later.

 

the complete coilover systems come with struts right? if not, i dont think i could ever justify spending $750 or more on springs alone.

 

alright, heres what im probably gonna do, if anyone sees any real problems with this, i certainly wouldn;t mind hearing about it. Ground Control Coilovers and Tokico Illuminas. hows that setup work? anyone running that setup?

 

The D2s or the Tein's would probably be cheaper than that set up
