I have 2 things>

#1 How are the HP's and is this kit a big improvement from stock?

#2 Custom Max claims that this kit was made specifaclly by Tokico just for them. I spoke to the guys at Tokico Product Development, and they said the only thing differant about this kit than any other HP kit is the color they used to color the springs with. I have found this kit from JDMworks on EBay for $100 less than Custom Max.

 

These struts are basically oem replacements. Don't waste your time with them. I have them. I also have 98k on them and can't wait to get new ones.

 

Hps really shouldn't be used when lowering. And as you've found, just about everything on CM can be found cheaper elsewhere.

If you want to lower you should go with KYB AGX, Tokico Illumina's, or Koni Yellows.
