Check the maintenance stickies. The autozone repair guide should have the info you are looking for.

The gold link lines up with the lower gear, while the 2 silver ones line up with the top sprokets. The silver's are kinda hard to identify at first, also the marks on the sproket gears are on the face of the tooth. You may need to crank the engine more than once in order to get all the timming marks lines up for TDC compression stroke.

Its really pretty simple like he said. Silver aligns with the top sprockets and gold with the bottom.

Here are some shots I got real quick.

I still say though that unfortunately if you put the chains on wrong and turned the motor over then you bent the valves. I just dont think there is much room for error with them. Good luck though I truly hope I am wrong.

I have a set of heads for sale if you screwed yours up. They are off the engine and ready to ship. If you need any other engine parts, let me know. I just tore apart the whole engine and there are parts boxed up and sprawled out all over my garage.

I wasn't lying, there really were pictures in the autozone online repair guide.
