Removing heating duct work

I've got a rather embarassing problem. Mice have found their way into my heating ducts. I want to pull all of the ducts out and check them for dead bodies and nests and whatever hole the mice are using to get in. Does anyone know how much work this will be and how much will I have to tear apart the dash of my car to get to the ducts for the defrosters? I currently have a dead mouse stuck in the windshield defroster vent.

Thanks.

LMFAO! Sorry, but thats just toooo funny.

How could they have gotten in? There is plastic mesh screen covering the HVAC intake up by the cowl?
