battery location minimum gauge?

Can I get by with 4 gauge or is 2 gauge necessary? BTW, i have two amps (playing at low power).

Are you asking what gauge wire to use to run power to the amp or are you planning to relocate the battery? If you are asking about power wire for the amps, then 4 gauge is sufficient. If you are talking about the battery relocation, then I would recommend going with 0/1 gauge wires.
