Where to find a 6 speed tranny to swap out my auto?

Does anyone know of any salvage yards or any other places where I could find a 6 speed tranny for my maxima? Does the six speed tranny come with the pedals or is that something that I would have to purchase separately? How hard is it to install all of that?

your stuck with a auto. if you want 6 speed, just sell your auto and get a 6 speed.

please no way. i rather have a 6 speed for the freeway. i cant picture driving around with a 5sp and my exhaust. but when i go to 6th gear, drone is gone and i am happy. better gas mileage also. and the performance difference is so minial that you wont even feal it unless you hit the track.

6spd tranny is a POS, they blow up very eassily. Sell your car if you want a 6spd. Conversion will cost ya more than what you would loose on your car by trading it in on a 6spd. Plus then you have a FACTORY 6spd, and not some hacked togheter auto to 6spd conversion.

It would be more cost effective to simply trade your auto for a manual.

I've tried to go through this route before and believe me its just not worth it.. I had some good hookups to and could get everything dirt cheap..

Take a look on the other side too... if something goes wrong.. its in your hands and your "warranty", as its called, will be voided. Not to mention resell...
