Wanted to go Greddy SP2, but it costs and arm. List your custom setup and let me know how it sounds. Looking for the same thing everyone else is looking for: Deep throat and throaty nice low tone. Im debating on whether or not to throw in the warpspeed y pipe. Thoughts appreciated.

wsp quiet catback... 275 shipped... had too many flaws though... fitment and all... just do like the other post and get a good muffler... i really suggest the dynomax super turbo for like $50 and have them bolt that on, and just run a pipe and weld in a resonator...

even cheaper than mine... and you wont have fitment issues...

You already know from the other thread, but I've got a dynomax superturbo, custom resonated B-pipe and wsp y. I'd call it throaty. Not too loud, but definitely louder than stock.

Yeah, i read your thread and was very disappointed to see the crap quality of it. I wanted the Apexi WS 2 but God knows whether or not there will be an application for it sometime soon (or if at all).

So is it worth it to get an AM b pipe, from budget? or can shops make all that crap for me?

well... if you just wanted to get the a muffler... a shop can just bend the pipes to your car... thats all it is.

if you were to get a AM b, then they would have to make a custom rear section out of a muffler to allow you to change the rear section like a normal AM catback system... or they could just weld the pipe to your AM b, but that would like defy the point of it because you could no longer change out the muffler...

peope who buy b's tend to leave the stock rear section on or change it out later... if you just want to open up your pipe to 2.5 resonated, they can make all that, no sense in buying one for 200 something and haveing them weld on it...

uhh...i think anyone else with a magnaflow muffler will agree...loud throaty... deep... mean...
probably the closest to a greddy sp2 i'd imagine.
i reccomend i y pipe, 2.5 inch custom bent b pipe and any magnaflow you want.
i'v had multiple mufflers and the magnaflow is the best i'v run across.

WSP Y, Hollow Brand Cat, Custom 2.5 in non resonated/mandrel B-pipe, Powertech straight through muffler:

The car may be loud to some people, but I think it sounds wonderful. It may get a little loud when the engine's under load too. But at idle it just sounds so mean.

Also, maybe mentioned above, getting a custom b-pipe made will result in similar gains compared to a name brand b-pipe/catback, plus you don't have to worry about fitment issues, its made to fit your exact car.

it makes sense really. i used to want all SS cattman y with a SS exhaust, but really, it performs relatively the same... nobody sees it unless you take a picture on a lift... and thats what really makes me want to SP2 or something like that because of how it looks, but its really wasting money to me now...

if anything, id say buy a b-pipe and still get the gains and be sleeper, or you can throw a tip on for flashiness... but i might of well of just got a custom one made... same thing as what i bought...

people only see part of the muffler, and the tip... so what if its sp2, or custom you know...

i wanted all SS too. but in the end my custom non SS exhaust will outlast the car. The performance of a good custom made exhaust is the exact same as a premade catback.

all you get with premade cat backs is a guaranteed sound and SS piping.

Budget y----original cat----Apexi' WS catback. Nice deep throaty sound. Beautiful sounding exhaust. Not to loud at low rpms, so quiet that in second you really can't hear it when going slow. I wouldn't change it for anything.

warpspeed y -> stock cat -> 2.5 non resonated b-pipe -> straight though fart can.

My exhaust is so loud my door panels rattle, and I can set off other peoples car alarms.

I have the Greddy SP and its great with the Warpspeed Y pipe. Nice deep agressive tone, no buzzing or farting at all. Looks great too not too ricey but a litte more prevelant than stock in appearence. Save your money and get the greddy

Quit posting and get video clips!

I ordered the have same muffler.

Budget b-pipe is on the way, and I already have a WSP y-pipe. Right now I kinda wish I had ordered a new cat because the stock one looks like something dredged up after being on the ocean floor for 100 years. lol rust

OBX catback, WSP Y-Pipe w/lined flex, stock cat. Sounds awesome. I had a friend drive my car to work for me from the shop today (new tires) and I heard a car in the parking lot outside and was wondering what kind of car it was because it sounded so good, low and deep. To my surprise, it was my car! And that made my day.......

I'm sorry but that sounds horrible.

The only ones i have considered are
greddy sp2
apexi ws
cattman
But i think they all would get annoying after awhile.I would rather have a quiet car that was quick rather than a loud one that was the just as fast

Stock b-pipe?

Mine should be extra loud with the budget pipe. haha I don't think that sounds too bad at all. The rev video is raspy, but the one with you driving around sounds fairly stock.

I'll post up vids with b-pipe next week when I get it on there.

Frankencar Short-Ram Intake w/ Midpipe, Warpspeed Y-Pipe, Magnaflow Hi-Flo Cat, Custom 2 1/4 B-Pipe (the 2 1/2 is too loud for my taste) and a Cattman Muffler

everyone who has been in or next to my vehicle completely loves the sound. even people i know with Greddys. a big BTW - i am automatic, so ima be that much more quieter. ima be a fast as auto once i get a CHIP

Yes, stock bpipe and its the fart can that makes it sound "terrible" but at highway speeds/cruising there is little to no drone whatsoever.
