Muffler hanger Broken?

My muff is rattling on bumps and is obviously resting on the rear crossbeam... it's still connected, but my exhaust sounds like a civic with a 4.5" tip.... or lawnmower... or a hole is in there... whatever, doesn't sound stock, worried, ease my worries by telling me a hanger broke and they're 10 bucks or something, the sound is a resulting factor of it resting on the suspension beam..... please

Why not inspect it and see what the actual issue is?

Just went thru the same problem - exhaust was starting to sound ricey even cruising on the freeway. Unfortunatley for me, not only was the hanger broken but the muffler also had a nice hole in it and had to be replaced. The muffler itself was pretty expensive (about $400 CDN) but the labour was not bad at all.

Someone is always selling an OEM muffler in the classifieds.

well, thanks, i believe there is a hole in it, crack or something,i found the problem today and i don't have a hydraulic lift, so, i imagine what i've told is more than some could/would know with 1 hour insp with no tools...

Yea mine did the same thing. First the resinator section was loose and clanking against the metal brackets around it. Got that fixed, but a month later the flange between the stock catback and B-Pipe rotted away. I replaced the stock catback with another one and it is fine now.
