Alright someone help me on this mod, please

Alright i'm doin the clock mod right now (to make the clock white)

i've read all the faqs and the stickes and their wasnt one pic showin how u actually seperate the clock from the dash

1st i took a tiny flathead and CAREFULLY tried the "pry" method and quickly saw that, that wasnt happenin

2nd I thought i was slick and i "threaded" small rope through the top where the first "fin" was and down through the bottom fin and back out the vent to try and pull it out. and i did this to both center, left and right vents, so that i wasnt putting pressure on just one side. instead, both vents i'd pull with both arms. Then i applied a slow pressure, slowly more, slowly more, and SNAP i broke one fin. and when i started to do this i knowingly thought it was gonna happen but i said "eh, F it. whynot?"

lol, everything should just "pry: off, not break. at least it'll be easier to get off the second try with only 1 fin.... hehe
