oil leak front on passenger side...
My fr iend went to go change my oil today and said there was a pretty bad oil leak . I noticed my car was leaking oil as it would always leave spots on the floor. I would like to get it fixed. He said its All along the AC compressor or something. Any ideas on what it could be ?
the oil pressure sending unit is a very common cause of oil leaks on 4th gens and is located in that general area. it could be coming from that. it is just above the lower oil pan on the back of the upper oil pan. it's really easy to change i could do it in like 5 minutes.

Check your valve covers (common leak). Could be running down from the front cover. Oil pressure sending unit is on the back side of the engine. Usually the wires coming out of it will be covered in oil if its leaking. But it can run down to the oil pan and make it look like it's the oil pan thats leaking. Get some brake cleaner and clean it up and check it after the car runs. I know how frustrating oil leaks can be on these cars sometimes it's really hard to tell where it's coming from because it's hard to see. I've had all of the above leaks plus my front timing cover.

Front one is a piece of cake. The back is a PIA because you have to remove the intake plenum (Not too bad though). There is a writeup on it somewhere on it. Don't have a link maybe someone else can help out. Buy the gaskets from Nissan and don't forget the seals for the spark plugs(you have to buy them separetly 3 for each cover)
