255walbro hp on a na maxima

i'm planing on running nitrous or maybe turbo so i'm trying to start buying parts from now and i was wondering if i need a fpr with the pump or caqn i just replace the stock one and will that make the car run rich

well let me refrase the ? ,,,can you put a walbro pump on a na maxima without any problems

you can but it would be a waster, you'd be able to pump more fuel in but you'l still have the same amount of air, you'll be running rich and reducing power.

It will be fine, base fuel pressure will just rise 5-6 psi or so but no problems will result.

Yep. I installed a Walbro 255lph hp pump a couple of months before installing the supercharger. No problems even though the base fuel pressure was at 40 psi. It will be just a little rich(er) at startup and WOT, but closed loop operation will be unchanged.

see this is the a problem for me cuze my ecu is in open loop all the time thnx to my stupid o2 sensor,, will make me run rich all the timeand i have to fix the sensor,,,,,another ? will a prelude pump with the same part number fit the car or does it come with specific fittings for each car <gss342> thnx guys for helping me out

You can use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to bring the fuel pressure back down to oem, but the best thing to do is to correct the O2 sensor problem.

It doesn't make much sense to me to spend money on add-ons when your engine isn't running in peak condition to begin with.

A bad o2 sensor does not make you ECU run in open loop all the time. Actually, the o2 sensor is not used in open loop operation. it is however effecting closed loop operation. But do what Stephen Max said and fix the maintenace things before doing mods
