Need a review from body kit owners, please

I know the topic must've been ran into the ground, but I need to make a decision quick, so will search for previous threads while I am waiting for replies.

Turns out that I have to replace both of the bumpers on my 03 Max, so decided to get a body kit. I am a first time kitter, so without much experience.

How good/bad are those e-bay kits:

Any major differences between them? Anyone ordered those already?

Much obliged!

P.S. I am not installing them myself. Car is at the body shop as we speak, so it will be professionally installed. (if that makes any difference)

They are made out of fiberglass. That should tell you right there not to get them. The fitment on those usually really suck and very hard to work with. I would try and find something that is made out of urethane. Mine is from Stillen and the fitment is almost perfect becuase it is made out of urethane and is very bendable.

to both of them. Especially fiberglass. POS. Go with Stillen kit or MT lip with Stillen sides and rear.

I have been waiting to see you post again....where did you get your entire kit from and how much did it cost. I think you have the baddest kit for the max, I am just not a fan of your rims. I personally like the Mille Miglia and I think they would look really hot with your kit! Overall though your car is hot!

Well, thanks for all the replies, but afterall I decided to give it a shot. I am a first time kitter and if I was to pay $250 for 2 bumpers including shipping or get the full kit for $400, I am gonna give the kit a chance.

I will post the pics as soon as it is on (in about 2 weeks... hopefully)

As someone mentioned earlier, the kits look too ricey... I would suggest putting the kit that came on the 20th anniv. edition... or something else but those...

I had a hard time finding someone to paint my stillen lips and they fit perfect. Most shops thought I had a fiberglass kit and most said if I had fiberglass that they wouldn't touch it. The shop that did paint my lips had a honda there getting a fiberglass kit put on. The owner said it had been there for 2.5 weeks and they still couldn't get the POS to line up straight.

I would highly recommend you stay away from fiberglass. You're going to pay hundreds for the install.
