Stillen FSTB for Christmas - install ?

I got the Stillen FSTB for Christmas. The directions are for a Altima and they indicate that you have to grind the intake down so that you have clearance for the bar. My question is do you have to do this on the Max also?
Hope not.

Thanks
Chris

Stillen FSTB

My bar clears the intake manifold by about a 1/4", but I just noticed that it has been rubbing on two spots underneath the hood. Not a whole lotta clearance under there!

Red,

Thanks for the response. How bad is it rubbing the hood?

It's not bad, just enuff to make a couple of pink spots at each side, where the bar bends down. I need to fix it, cuz it will eventually rub the paint off down to the metal. I think I can tap the bar down where the bolts go thru, take the "slop" out of the bracket holes.

Did you fix it? Mine is hitting also. I don't see any way to make the bar lower. I am thinking that I am going to take a little off the bar in the two spots where it is hitting. Do you think this is a good idea?

I was thinkin about doing that too. I don't think grinding off 1/16" of the bar would hurt anything. And no, I have not fixed mine yet.
