black out clear corners?

has anyone purchased DC clear corners and pulled them apart to paint the reflective piece black. I know you can buy them like this I believe, but I want to know if I could just do it myself like the DTM mod. I looked at one of the lights the only problem I see is the fact that it isnt the same type of adhesive the rear tail lights have where once it heats up it will pry apart. It looks more like glue which wont get soft when it warms up. Any options available to me guys?

hmm i dont know if you could bake those, if you want to try to bake it and keep checking on it then i guess that can work. if you take it apart you could always silicone it back. just make sure u keep checking up on it when its in the oven

I pulled them apart just like the for the tails and headlights. Put them in the oven and then pry apart. Worked fine

I thought about that but I dont want them to be too dark, plus I want the clear look from the lense still there.

yah I definitely need to do this tomorrow, I looked at your pics on your cardomain page. You used black glossy enamel paint correct?

you seem to have a custom grill, how did you get the mesh to sit correctly, and what how did you mount it to stay put?

i just took a dremel to the center bar and cut it out, i then took some Home Depot mesh, cut it to fit, painted it black and used galvanized wire to tie it to the grill
