Rewire clear corners

I read the How-To sticky and noticed one about rewiring your clear corners and making them brighter. I wanted to know if that actually helps or is it overrated. I am also a major noob and want to know if I should let someone with some knowledge do it or if it is as easy as it seems. Does anyone have pics of the installation or a before/after. Thanks.

its very easy. it more of a cosmetic difference just to actually have those lights function instead of just blinkers. if you have some time and need something to do, go for it.

TRUE THAT!!!!
Overall its a easy mod, i would have to say the hardest part would be to take out the corner lamp, it makes the bulbs much much brighter....

Hmm... that's a lil too ricey for me. What kind of bulbs are those?? I bought M14 Polargs from custommaxima.com. Will mine look like those??

And wouldn't this mod burn out the clear corner bulbs quicker due to the increased amount heat/brightness??

After trying to match all the lights, I gave up.
Now I only have my hyperwhite headlight bulbs (ricey... haha) and my stock fogs.. And nothing else.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by "just to actually have those lights function". Does the "clear corner snip" make the lights stay on constantly or is it just to make them brighter when your signals are on?

Thanks for all the quick responses ... I think I am going to do it if it doesn't make the lights stay on constantly

I did this mod almost a year ago, and I haven't had any problems with it yet. I actually rewired mine though, instead of just modding the bulb itself. I left the stock bulbs in, and I can tell big difference. And all this mod does is it makes your corner lights brighter...thats all.

Everything will function just as it does now...just brighter. Very easy to do.

no, it's not really that blue i don't think... when i had m14 pictures i took of them look like bijans, but they actually were pretty close to the headlight hue...
