Can heated seats be retrofitted in a 5ht gen?
I've seen this question before and I think the answer was yes it can be done if you're willing to spend the time with the wiring, tearing down and redoing the seats, etc. I don't see a reason why it couldn't be done other than potentially having too much heat for the cloth seat but I wouldn't know why that would be unless the cloth has a low flash point or something. Give it a try and tell us how it goes!
Wireing is already these on some cars, just need to run some switches up to the console, then wire it up to the fuse location where it says heated seats. Get a set of heated seats and mount them in. My GXE 01 has wireing already there for heated seats and power seats, and I have manual cloth seats. I have repleaced alot of heater elements in the seats so I know how to get it done, but adding them to cloth seats is useless. You need to mount the heater right below the cloth of the seat and it will feel really weird to you when you sit on it. Audi has mounted heated seats in their cloth seat cars, it works good but not as good as leather seats.

Yeah, Triple8sol had stock cloth seats and he had the Meridian edition (heated seats, wheel, mirrors). So it is possible. But he upgraded to custom leather seats, so maybe the cloth did suck with the heaters.
