woke up and saw this sh*t

Some @sswipe keyed our cars...again! About a month ago they keyed cars up and down my street and we were not spared. My max was not at home during the last attack so it wasn't keyed. Came home from campus and took a nap and woke up hearing 'your car got keyed'. Ran out and sure enough, one deep @ss scratch across my hood, and another one on our Q45. This $hit is pissing the hell out of me! (excuse the dirty cars, it was misty here today and the roads were crap)

You have my sympathy! That is the worst thing and it is totally a waste! People have nothing better to do than that? Give me a break. I hope you find out who did this!

Wow, sorry to hear about that. You're probably going to have to get the whole hood repainted to make it look right. Vandalism sucks.

That blows....time to get a camera installed. YOu can get a pretty cheap kit that will hook up to a computer.

Probably have to get the whole hood repainted.

yeah, might end up installing some sort of a camera setup outside. i took a drive down the street and seems like every other car got keyed. this blows, like my tuition and book costs were not enough of a dent on my wallet...gotta fork out more dough to get the hood repainted.

Damn dawg.....I know how you feel. Someone this Satudary morning smashed my back window to my 04' Maxima....they didn't take anything or scratch it up...just broke the back windshield (and I just had the car for about a month) and this happened in my driveway, just bunch hatin' *** people (it was someone that probably knows you or just has a jealous streak) now I gotta take off on Monday to get the window replaced (400 bucks) but now I'm just gonna keep it in the garage (just cleaned it out after this mornings fiasco) and I'm installing a survillance camera over my garage door.

ouch sorry man. so whats the deal with your insurance as far as vandalism, or getting keyed in your case. what do you have to be covered under to get a free repaint?

I didn't read all the posts, but a idea that you can do, is put those motion detector lights that turn on whenever someone comes close...
point it to your car and no one will mess with it... (temporary though) after that get the camera....

that way younwill be able to see the faces of who is doing it.

If it helps any, I have been robbed of my clear corners, headlights foglights, dinged on purpose and keyed with my 1997 Max at Florida International University here in Miami. I got rid of it after fixing it up a bit and just baught another newer Max due to my new job... Even still, I don't like to take the car anywhere it is not supervised which sucks. I live in perpetual fear of my lights being robbed at malls or other huge parking lot areas.

There are certain people who are just insanely jealous and will stop at nothing to give you a headache. My recommendation to you will be to touch up the keyed marks. If it is all over your car, your insurance might step in but they might raise your rates.
