Stock sliding coupler between intake and air filter box
Stock sliding coupler between intake and air filter box
Hi all,
Still don't have my manuals yet and have noticed there is a rectangular sliding plastic coupler between the air intake and the filter box. 2K 5 speed bone stock. It somehow slid back to where the 2 were no longer connected. I just slid it up/over the flange and wonder what kind of clamp is missing? None exists. I have a thin bead of RTV in place for now. Car's running OK, just happened to notice when checking fluids, etc. Airflow should certainly improve now

i noticed this once on my 2K. i slid it back into place and it seemed to be a friction fit until i pushed it from both the bottom and the top. that's when it "clicked" into place. you have to push it evenly from all sides for it to latch on properly.
