Help

Well, I have a 97 Maxima SE and this afternoon before going to work (3:30ish) I bought and installed some Xenon replacement bulbs because my previous left headlight had blown. I turned off the car and plugged in the new lights. Turned on the car and everything (including the new white bulbs) worked fine. So I let the car stay running while I ran in the house and got my stuff for work. And in no less than 20 minutes I came out and found that my battery light and my parking BRAKE light had turned on. Now I made sure that my brake was on by applying it then taking it off to rule that out, but then wasn't sure what may be causing this. ...

Long story, short, I had to take my friends car to work in fear that it would be dead after my shift. And the only reason I threw in the headlight tidbit is so that you would know what previous changes I had made.

So I beg of you guys, help me out so I don't have to carpool to classes tommorow.

Hey,

I am guessing the new bulbs are a higher wattage than stock, and they blew a fuse because they drew too much power. Are they cheap Ebay bulbs? Or are they Silverstars or another reputable brand?

P.S. I live in Newburyport, MA too!

sounds like your alternators going. if it overcharges it gonna blow your headlight like it did. now it sounds like its going by all of your lights coming on.
