Hi there !

Proud new owner of a 2002 sterling mist Maxima SE 6 speed, black leather interior. I've been reading the board for about 2 weeks now! I'm kinda gonna miss my Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT for it's AWD cause I'm from Quebec City, Canada and yup there's a lot of snow up here.

A lot of very nice rides on Maxima.org !! Cheers !!!!

Word of advice, since you're going to be driving a lot in the snow, check your tires and see if you have Potenzas. If you do, please buy new tires ASAP. Those tires are bad. Goodluck and enjoy.

Welcome to the .org. I second the post on the Potenzas. Also, be sure to read the Rules and Regulations thread.

Thanks for the advice dude!! Yup got crapy Potenzas on it.... winter tires are a ''must have'' thing up here so I'm running on Toyo Garit HT winter tires. Kinda sucks cause you get a more ''wavy'' ride feeling ... but pays out in 10'' of fresh snow

Wow, you went from a Legacy to a Maxima. What year was your Subie? I used to have a 97 Legacy GT. Love the darn car, the best but unfortunately after eight month brand new owning it, my sister got in accident. Never got another one, they are so hard to get a GT. From my experience, you won't regret the Maxima, for number of reason. It's solid, reliable and MORE POWER!!!!

It was a 1998 5 speed...pretty hard to find a standard one.... blew up the engine twice on it so get rid of it .... I'm working in a Infinity/Nissan/Kia dealership so before getting the Maxima I knew how good it is got acces to everything regarding TSB, warranty etc plus the parts at cost prices

Welcome to the .Org... must be hard transitioning from an AWD to a FWD with plenty of torque steer (among other things)... ... but you'll soon see that the Max has its advantages too...
