4 speed manual transmission??????????

i have had a tranny rebuild at the end of 2004 and everything seemed to be going good. now at the begining of the new year that beast has reared its ugly head once more. in late oct - nov i was driving on the turnpike and when slowing down all i hear was this horrible sreaching noise. so im like wtf, i pull off to the the rest stop since i was right there. and nothing, no noise what so ever. started it up turned the wheels, stepped on the clutch went the the gears and nothing. the only thing that came to my mind was maybe the starter that i just replaced some how what hitting the flywheel. so i got back in the car and went on my way and no noise, untill i was about to get off on my exit. lucky my uncle has some tools in his garage and i took out the starter and checked it out, no problems there. so the other only option was the trans. when i got the trans checked out i turns out the syncro's were shot. $500 bucks later and about 1k miles trans is F'ed up again. just was when my day was going good, just let a job interview now here comes the bs. i was driving down the turnpike in fourth gear doing about 80, i found that the tranny was only whistling in this gear shortly after that, BOOM i thought ran over someting or my tire got punctered. i pulled over and didnt find anything so i drove off and when i reached fourth gear i said to myself you gota be sh^&ing me the rpms went up and nothing. so now i have all but fourth gear. GREAT.

excuse me if i ran my mouth, but i gota use you guy for my support group today.

btw incase i decide, does any one know anywhere in the jersey area where i can get a 5spd tranny with out me having to eat cup of noodles for a few months to pay for it?

God damn you bijan, post *****. Dude, get another trans or leave it. Wtf do you need 4th gear for unless you race all the time? Just put it in 5th and that's it.

4th gear is not really a gear, its direct drive, that means it just go through the tranny from the crank to the wheels no reductions no nothing.
